The Bara Bhangal Trek is a challenging and remote expedition that begins from Manali and takes trekkers through some of the most rugged and scenic landscapes in Himachal Pradesh. This trek passes through the towering Dhauladhar and Pir Panjal mountain ranges, offering a truly immersive experience in the wilderness. The trail takes trekkers across the Kalihani Pass (4,800 meters), a high-altitude pass known for its rugged beauty, and then continues northwest toward the isolated village of Bara Bhangal. From Bara Bhangal, the route takes a southward turn toward the Thamsar Pass (4,700 meters), before descending into Billing in the Kangra Valley. The trek concludes at Billing, where adventure enthusiasts can even indulge in paragliding to Bir, experiencing breathtaking aerial views of the region.
