Sethan is a small Buddhist village in the northwest corner of India located just above Manali on the way into Hampta Valley, and offers tourists breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains covered in snow, as well as opportunities for cozy accommodations, skiing, igloo experiences, and short treks to Hampta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is suited to couples, small groups of friends, photographers, and novice skiers \/ snowboarders. You can plan to visit for a day trip if you wish to experience the beauty of winter, or you can stay longer and enjoy the entire winter atmosphere for one or two nights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sethan is situated about 12 to 14 kilometers above Manali, with access to the Hampta Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When someone mentions “Hampta Valley viewpoint \/ Hampta side,” they are generally referring to the area around the village of Sethan that provides a view of Hampta Pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to the other towns (Solang and Gulaba) located near Manali, Sethan is quieter, much smaller, and provides a more secluded setting. Since there is only a single access road from the hillside, getting to and from Sethan is simple in comparison to the others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
