Melted snow creates a gorgeous contrast of the green valleys along with snowcapped mountains behind. This gives the view all the more striking, making it ideal for taking photographs and having a relaxed atmosphere.

Best Places to Find Snow in Manali in April-May

Rohtang Pass: 

If the pass is open, you should experience snow at Rohtang, which usually opens mid-May, depending on the weather conditions. 

Scenic beauty in snow-covered landscapes is simply breathtaking and one can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and snow scooter rides.

Just 13 km from Manali, Solang Valley is a popular spot for snow lovers. Even if Rohtang Pass is closed, you can still find snow here in early May.

The cable car ride provides a bird’s-eye view of the snow-clad valley, which is truly mesmerizing. Families and adventure enthusiasts alike will find Solang Valley an exciting destination.

Gulaba: 

Situated on the way to Rohtang Pass, Gulaba is another great place to enjoy snow if Rohtang is closed. It is less crowded and offers serene snowy landscapes, perfect for photography and peaceful snow play. 

The calmness of Gulaba makes it an ideal place to relax, have snowball fights, or simply soak in the beauty of the snow-covered surroundings. It’s also a great spot for nature lovers who prefer quieter locations.

Hamta Pass

Hamta Pass is an excellent location for finding snow in April-May for trek lovers. The scenic view of this trek offers tremendous peaks covered in snow, verdant meadows, and thrilling landscapes.
